Every other Saturday, from 9am to 12pm bring what tools you think will build the best boat and meet us at the old Sea Island Boatyard on Shem Creek.

We have begun to work on a vessel donated by Clay Thornhill. This little Nutshell Pram needs a though going over. Additionally, Mark Bayne is donating a 14′ Dory that could also use some helping hands. We are meeting Saturday(12/17)  from 9am-12 Every other Saturday.  Bring what tools you think will build the best boat and meet us at the old SEA ISLAND BOATYARD on Shem Creek. Additionally, several members have expressed interest in obtaining the Helen-Anette. She is a small Schooner. She has been in a time capsule on the hill, and the owner wants to find a good home for her. I will leave it up to the members to decide if we want to pursue this further. Completed boats will be for member use

Message from Rob from New Charleston Mosquito Fleet:

We are looking for a free Low Country Skiff that is probably lingering in someone’s garage since they built it 2 to 10 years ago at Family Boatbuilding. We are not picky about who it belongs to as long as they are willing to let us give it a new home, out from under foot and the glower of Mom who’s been wanting it GONE!!! There could be letter acknowledging same as a donation for tax purposes.

The next work day for the TSCA is 1/14/12 and will bevery other weekend starting at 9am to noon. Wrapping up on the nutshell pram and dory is getting a new lease on ife and Commodore traded a human hamster wheel for half finished stgrip kayak and a lot of resin and wood! Quite the fleet we are building up!

Palmetto Chapter of TSCA will miss Glenn Myrick. Rest in Peace. You will be missed!
